Year-End Appeal

Dear Friends,

2022 was a big year for our little Buddhist community. After maintaining our study and practice offerings online for two years during the pandemic, it has been a tremendous joy to safely return in-person at our center.

We’ve had nonstop activity with our Monday and Wednesday night study groups, along with several other contemplative opportunities. These included a Way of the Bodhisattva study group, a revamped Introduction to Tibetan Buddhism course, and our Anti-Racism as a Spiritual Practice group, among other practice gatherings.

Moreover, we were deeply honored to host excellent teachings from several venerable, wonderful masters of our lineage: Tulku Damcho Rinpoche, Khenpo David Karma Choephel, and Lama Kathy Wesley.

Thanks to the generosity of our members and friends, we were able to install high-speed wifi and other equipment to allow a hybrid model of gathering. This has enabled online participation in all of our Dharma activities for anyone unable to come to Portland.

As this year draws to a close, we ask that you please consider Vajra Vidya Portland in your holiday giving. We are incredibly thankful to our sangha friends for everyone’s ongoing generosity to support the vision of Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche and make the authentic path of Mahayana available here in Maine.
