Our five-week beginners’ class provides a basic introduction to the phonetic elements of Tibetan: the thirty consonants and four vowels, superscripts and subscripts, prefixes and suffixes, as well as the Wylie transliteration system.
At the end of the class, students will be able to read, write, and spell any Tibetan word written in uchen, the classic script in which Buddhist texts are printed.
This class is offered periodically. If you are interested in studying Tibetan, please contact Tracy Davis: tracydavis108@yahoo.com
