An Engaged Buddhism Opportunity
The 4th Sunday of every month has been reserved for Vajra Vidya Portland members and friends to volunteer at Preble Street’s Food Security Hub in South Portland.
All are invited to gather, up to five people each month, and work a three-hour shift, 1:30 to 4:30pm, to help prepare and pack meals, along with general kitchen assistance.
We regard this as community Dharma practice and encourage volunteers to maintain a motivation of bodhicitta, work mindfully, and dedicate the merit. It’s also a chance to connect and have some fun, while serving the most vulnerable in our community.
To access the sign-up page, please use this special link which will allow you to create an account as a Preble Street volunteer and access our monthly shifts. Once registered as a volunteer, you will get weekly e-mail notifications regarding all of Preble Street’s volunteer opportunities should you wish to work additional shifts in any of Preble Street’s programs.
Questions? Please e-mail Daniel.
